Background: Nurses are one of the largest groups of healthcare professionals. In hospitals, because of different usual and unexpected situations in the workplace, there is a greater need for skilled and experienced nurses who can manage conflicts and have moral sensitivity as well. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between conflict management style and moral sensitivity in nurses working at Amir-al Momenin Hospital in Gerash, Iran in 1402.
Materials and Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study. The data was obtained with the Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire and Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory-II (ROCI—II). The samples were 221 nurses employed at Amir-al Momenin Hospital in Gerash during the year 2023. The results were analyzed using SPSS version 26 software.
Results: There was a significant connection between moral sensitivity and the way of handling conflict in nurses (r=0.4; p-value > 0.05). Also, moral sensitivity had a statistically significant correlation with age, and having executive positions (P=0.04, and 0.02 respectively).
Conclusions: Based on the results, conflict management style is closely linked with nurses' moral sensitivity. We suggest further studies to investigate the conflict management capabilities of nurses and its related factors
