Introduction: Studies have pointed out the importance and application of emotional, spiritual and moral intelligence in the academic progress of students. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between moral intelligence, spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence in nursing students in Kashan, 2023.
Method: This research was a descriptive-correlation study that was conducted on 200 nursing students in the 1st and 8th semesters of Kashan city in 2023. Sampling was available. After explaining the objectives of the research and obtaining informed consent from them, they were asked to complete the research questionnaires including demographic information, questionnaires of emotional intelligence, moral intelligence and spiritual intelligence. The results obtained from the research were analyzed using SPSS software: version 21 and statistical tests such as independent t test, Pearson correlation coefficient and linear regression coefficient.
Result: The results showed that the first and eighth semester students have a statistically significant difference in terms of emotional intelligence (P=0.01) and spiritual intelligence (P=0.002), but there is no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of moral intelligence (P=0.06). The results showed that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence of first and eighth semester nursing students. The results of the multiple regression test showed that the variable of emotional intelligence predicts a total of 5% of the variance of the variable of spiritual intelligence and the variable of emotional intelligence positively predicts the variable of spiritual intelligence
Conclusion: The results showed that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence of nursing students in the first and eighth semesters. This means that as their emotional intelligence increases, their spiritual intelligence also increases. It is suggested that training to strengthen emotional and spiritual intelligence be held in the form of educational workshops for students.
