In postpartum departments the skills and experience of doctors and midwives will overlap together but it is not sufficiently recognized . Little importance to the ability of midwives will reduce the scope of their responsibilities and decision-making power will be taken from them , also this will result in demoralization and decreasing job satisfaction. In this situation work load of new physicians will increase and patients will suffer from repeated examinations and endless waiting. Ineffective use of these skills or ignore them will reduce job satisfaction of midwives, also financial resources and human resources will be waste , therefore poor services will be deliver ed to mothers . Rabinson 1983 identified cases in which midwifes' skills were not used properly and adequately and their values was not enough.
