peer Review Policy

Peer review process
All manuscripts submitted in the journal are initially reviewed by editor and associate editors. Manuscripts must comply with the journal’s instructions for authors. Failure to meet the aims and scope of the journal and lack of proper structure can lead to the rejection of the manuscript. So, if a manuscript is not rejected in initial assessment, it is then sent out for review typically to two or three reviewers, but sometimes to more reviewers if special advice is needed (for example on statistics or a particular technique). We operate a double blind review process, where both the reviewer and author remain anonymous. A minimum of two experts must review the papers to evaluate their scientific quality. Reviewers are experts in their field and they are usually academic members of different universities of medical sciences around the country
In case of conflicting feedback, the journal editor often sends the paper to another reviewer. Reviewer invitations are sent by email from the submission system. Reviewers should use the links to accept or decline the invitation. Reviews must be entered in the submission system. We often ask the reviewers to offer additional comments on the manuscript to the editor
Authors should answer to reviewer’s comments in a table and clearly show the revisions in the text, either with a different color text, by highlighting the changes, or with the Microsoft words track changes feature. Finally, the journal editor and associate editor consider the feedback provided by the reviewers and make decisions to accept or reject papers based on their opinions of the papers’ publication worthiness and reviewers’ comments. The decisions may be accept without any changes, accept with minor revisions, accept after major revisions, revise and resubmit and reject the paper
The peer review is completed once all the reviewers send the journal a detailed report with their comments on the manuscript. Typically, the journal asks the reviewers to complete their reviews within 4 weeks. However, our journal has a mechanism to enforce the deadline. The corresponding author is notified as soon as possible of the editor’s final decision. If the manuscript is completely acceptable according to the criteria set forth in these instructions, it will be scheduled for the next available issue.
