زمینه و هدف: مادربزرگ‌ها افراد کلیدی برای موفقیت در شیردهی هستند. نگرش شیردهی مثبت مادربزرگ یکی از عوامل تأثیرگذار بر مدت شیردهی مادر می‌باشد. این پژوهش با هدف تعیین تأثیر آموزش مادربزرگ‌ها بر نگرش آنها نسبت به شیردهی انجام شد.
روش بررسی: این پژوهش یک مطالعه کارآزمایی بالینی با طرح پیش آزمون- پس آزمون با گروه کنترل است که بر روی 64 مادربزرگ مادری مراجعه کننده به بیمارستان امیرالمومنین (ع) تهران در سال 1397 انجام شد. مادربزرگ‌های مادری واجد معیارهای ورود، به روش نمونه‌گیری مستمر تا زمان تکمیل حجم نمونه انتخاب شدند. افراد به صورت هفتگی به دو گروه مداخله (32=n) و کنترل (32=n) تخصیص یافتند. در گروه مداخله، مادربزرگ‌های مادری نوزاد به همراه دختران نخست‌زای خود در دو جلسه یک ساعته آموزش شیردهی در بارداری (34-31 هفته) و (37-35 هفته) شرکت داشتند. در گروه کنترل، مادربزرگ‌های مادری آموزشی دریافت نکردند و محتوای آموزشی بعد پایان دو جلسه آموزشی به ایشان تحویل داده شد. مقیاس نگرش شیردهی (Iowa Infant Feeding Attitude Scale) قبل و بلافاصله بعد از آموزش در دو گروه تکمیل شد. داده‌ها با آمار توصیفی و استنباطی تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: آزمون آماری تی مستقل، تفاوت آماری معنی‌داری در میانگین نمره نگرش شیردهی در زمان قبل مداخله بین دو گروه کنترل و مداخله نشان نداد. هرچند، تفاوت آماری معنی‌داری در میانگین نمره نگرش شیردهی بلافاصله بعد مداخله بین دو گروه کنترل (53/7 ± 12/60) و مداخله (36/1 ± 21/74) وجود داشت (001/0>P). به طوری که میانگین نمره کسب شده در گروه مداخله بیشتر از گروه کنترل بود. به عبارت دیگر آموزش مادربزرگ‌ها باعث افزایش معنی‌دار نمره نگرش شیردهی در گروه مداخله شد.
نتیجه‌گیری کلی: یافته‌ها نشان داد که آموزش شیردهی به مادربزرگ‌ها بر بهبود نگرش آنها نسبت به شیردهی مؤثر است. با توجه به نتایج مطالعه، حضور مادربزرگ‌ها در کلاس‌های آموزش شیردهی در بهبود نگرش آنها نسبت به شیرمادر و ارتقاء تغذیه انحصاری با شیر مادر می‌تواند مؤثر باشد.
