زمینه و هدف: رشد فزاینده جمعیت سالمند در سال‌های اخیر و تأثیر عمیق آن بر شرایط اقتصادی- اجتماعی، زمینه توجه همه جانبه به این مقوله را فراهم نموده است. بر این اساس پژوهش حاضر به بررسی سبک زندگی سالمندان شهر ایلام می‌پردازد.
روش بررسی: این پژوهش یک مطالعه توصیفی– مقطعی است. نمونه‌های پژوهش 370 نفر از سالمندان شهر ایلام بودند که به شیوه خوشه‌ای و تصادفی انتخاب شدند. اطلاعات مورد نیاز در سال 1395 به وسیله پرسشنامه‌ای متشکل از سه بخش جمع آوری شد. بخش اول مشخصات فردی؛ بخش دوم سنجش متغیرهای پرخاشگری، سازگاری، سرمایه اجتماعی، جهت‌گیری مذهبی، محرومیت نسبی و از خود بیگانگی؛ و بخش سوم سنجش سبک زندگی سالم در سالمندان. اطلاعات جمع‌آوری شده با استفاده از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و آنالیز واریانس و همچنین تبیین رگرسیونی گام به گام در نرم افزار SPSS نسخه 20 مورد تحلیل قرار گرفت.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد پاسخگویان از سبک زندگی مطلوبی (43/111) برخوردار بوده‌اند و بین عوامل سرمایه اجتماعی )243/0(r= و سازگاری )240/0 (r=با سبک زندگی سالمندان، همبستگی مستقیم و معنی‌داری وجود داشته است. رابطه متغیرهای ازخود بیگانگی )337/0-(r=، پرخاشگری )349/0- (r= و محرومیت نسبی) 223/0-(r= با سبک زندگی معنی‌دار اما معکوس بوده است. نتایج تحلیل رگرسیونی گام به گام نشان می‌دهد متغیرهای پرخاشگری، از خودبیگانگی و سازگاری طی سه مرحله وارد معادله شده و تقریباً 25 درصد )246/0(r2= از تغییرات متغیر وابسته یعنی سبک زندگی سلامت محور سالمندان مورد بررسی را تبیین نموده‌اند (001/0˂P).
نتیجه‌گیری کلی: توانایی سازگاری با شرایط، حمایت شبکه خویشاوندی و داشتن سرمایه اجتماعی باعث خود مراقبتی و کاهش احساس محرومیت در سالمند می‌شود و سبک زندگی وی را مطلوب‌تر می‌سازد. همچنین یادآوری تلاش‌ها و دستاورد گذشته سالمند، به وی حس مفید بودن می‌دهد و بهاء دادن به آن برای حفظ توانایی‌های سالمند مفید است.
