Fatigue is one of the most common and a distressing side effect of cancer and its treatments. Fortunately, there are simple and unexpensive strategies to relieve fatigue intensity. To determine strategies used by cancer patients to cope with fatigue during chemotherapy, a descriptive longitudinal study was conducted. Contributors were 120 cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. The principle method of data collection was a daily dairy. The results indicated that patients used different strategies to fight with their fatigue, the most common approaches were resting (20.7%) and stop working (11.7%) and the least were doing exercises (3.3%) and walking (4.2%). To conclude, as Findings showed that cancer patients, receiving chemotherapy have used different strategies to cope their fatigue, recommendation is made to compare the efficacy of these strategies in these patients.

Nowadays, Cardiac catheterization plays an essential role in the diagnostic evaluation of the patients with suspected or known cardiac diseases, and it is an important preoperative cardiac screening protocol for vascular surgeries. Reducing the fear and anxiety of patients, health workers should provide their patients with teaching sessions, as in other studies the positive effect of teaching on psychological aspect of patents is concluded. So, determining the effect of teaching on these patients a semi experimental one-group study was conducted, in which 70 adult patients (36 men, 34 women,) all were waiting for their first time cardiac catheterization, filled up Spielberg inventory questionnaires to assess their level of anxiety and other questionnaires for their knowledge level. Findings showed a significant relation between anxiety and knowledge level of the sample group before and after teaching (P=0/000), and we also found that reduction of anxiety is related to patients high knowledge level (P=0/0001, r= 0/395). To conclude, providing the patients with appropriate information will diminish their anxiety level and promote their knowledge, so, it is recommended that the nurse managers provide programs to highlight the instructional role of nurses. A similar research on patients waiting for other invasive procedures is recommended.

Lengthened pregnancy after the 41st week will create problems for mother, fetus and newborn. Assessment of the predisposing factors of prolonged pregnancy is a research priority. So, to determine the maternal and the fetal predisposing factors of this hardship, we conducted a case-control study in which record sheets were assessed and data were collected. 1800 women contributed in this study within which, 600 made the case group through census sampling method, and the rest were known as control group with normal pregnancy and were chosen through simple random sampling method. Findings indicated that as for maternal factors, there were statisticaly significant relationships between prolonged pregnancy, and the use of Aspirin and Salisilates and season of delivery (P<0.05). A significant relationship was also seen between prolonged pregnancy and fetal factors such as the cephalic presentation (P < 0.05). Based on the findings, it was concluded that the history of using Aspirin and Salicilates during pregnancy is a maternal predisposing factor for long lasting pregnancy. Therefore, educational programs for women regarding such drugs and management of those who have to use them during pregnancy are recommended. Hyperemesis gravidarum is a rare condition that occures about one in 500 Pregnancies. Weight lose, ketoacidosis and serum electrolytes imbalance may occure as the result of hyperemesis. Meanwhile the cause is unknown, some factors such as high HCG level transiant hypothyroidism psychological instability are said to be responsible. Furthermore, the researchers have found some relations between hyperemesis and helicobacter pylori infection. various methods are used to treat hyperemesis such as accupuncture hypnosis and gingers root .

Undoubtedly, the time that women spend for household physical activities is varied in different countries. They do shopping, cooking, dish and cloth washing, child care, general cleaning, bed making, painting and etc. while, there is no standard time for doing household physical activities, it is important that employed women pay attention to their leisure time and self care. To assess the kind and time of household physical activities in employed women a cross sectional study was carried out with 300 women selected through stratified and random sampling method and data were gathered through questionnaires. Finding indicated that the mean of hours women spent for household activities within a week was 29.58. Most of the contributors said that they spent time on cooking, dish washing, organizing their houses and shopping. We found a significant relation between the mean of hours and age, marital status, the age of the last child and body mass index (B.M.I) (P=0.000), it means that the mean of hours was less in women between 19-29 years of age, B.M.I<20 and those without children and more in married women. Furthermore, significant relations were not found with income, educational level and smoking habit Determing the pattern of household activities, we recommend another study to be conducted on the duration, frequency and intensity of household physical activities.

Undeniably, Cancer has a great negative impact on physical, psychological, social and financial aspects of the families. Therefore, in caring for these patients, heir families needs should be considered. Considering these demands would eventually promote their role in care giving process. So, determining the quality of lives of families giving care to their cancer patients. A descriptive study was conducted with 115 participants, and questionnaires were used to gather the data. Findings showed that the quality of lives in 66/1% of the sample group were almost well, and regarding physical, psychological and spiritual domains, well being belonged respectively to 15/7%, 1/7% and 47%, whereas 4.3% were not well spiritually. Overall, the quality of lives of more than half of the sample group were almost well, so it is the nurse whom can help promoting the quality of lives of patient's families by providing information, supporting and giving consult services. It is recommended that the authorities provide extensive plans for insurance, facilities, drugs and home care services for patients and families. The researcher suggests a qualitative study on the same topic.
