Most women and clinicians are unaware that IUDs confer important noncontraceptive health benefits, which are as follow, not having systematic effects and protection against endometrial and cervical cancers. Besides, hormonal IUDs treat idiopathic menorrhagia and reduce menstural blood loss and heavy bleeding in patients with uterine fibroma and adenomyosis, they also decrease dysmenorrhea and prevent endometrial hyperplasia.
