زمینه و هدف: پرستاران از مهم‌ترین اعضای تیم مراقبت بهداشتی و درمانی هستند که مسئولیت مراقبت مستقیم از سالمندان را به عهده دارند. یکی از ارکان اصلی در ارائه هر مراقبت، داشتن نگرش مثبت در مورد دریافت‌کنندگان مراقبت است. کیفیت ارائه خدمت به سالمندان به خصوص سالمندان مبتلا به دلیریوم تحت تأثیر عوامل مختلفی از جمله نگرش پرستاران نسبت به این گروه است. این پژوهش نگرش پرستاران در چهار حیطه دانش، توانایی و اعتماد به نفس، قابلیت شناسایی و درک پیامدهای آن، تمایل به دانستن بیشتر و بار مراقبتی را نسبت به سالمندان مبتلا به دلیریوم بررسی نمود.
روش بررسی: این مطالعه مقطعی از نوع توصیفی- تحلیلی بود. واحدهای مورد مطالعه با استفاده از روش نمونه‌گیری طبقه‌ای با تخصیص متناسب به صورت در دسترس 200 نفر از پرستارانی بودند که معیارهای ورود به مطالعه را داشتند و در سه مراکز آموزشی و درمانی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی ایران مشغول به کار بودند. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها پرسشنامه مشخصات فردی و ابزار نگرش پرستاران نسبت به دلیریوم با 38 سوال بود. داده‌ها با نرم افزار SPSS نسخه 16 تجزیه و تحلیل شد و مقادیر 05/0 Pمعنی‌دار در نظر گرفته شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج مطالعه نگرش پرستاران نسبت به مراقبت از سالمندان مبتلا به دلیریوم نشان داد نگرش سرپرستاران به طور معنی‌داری (005/0P=) بهتر از پرستاران است. نتایج آنالیز واریانس اختلاف معنی‌دار آماری (003/0P=) را با متغیر سابقه کار با سالمند نشان داد. همچنین سمت شغلی (سرپرستار) تنها متغیری بود که در مدل رگرسیون خطی معنی‌دار شد.
نتیجه‌گیری کلی: در این مطالعه، سمت شغلی و سابقه کار با سالمند بیشترین ارتباط معنی‌دار را با نگرش پرستاران نشان داد. ﺑﺮﻧﺎﻣﻪ ﺭﻳﺰﻱ کاربردی آموزش مداوم، مبتنی بر شواهد و عملکرد ﺟﻬﺖ ﺍﺭﺗﻘﺎء ﻧﮕﺮﺵ و عملکرد ﭘﺮﺳﺘﺎﺭﺍﻥ ﺷﺎﻏﻞ انجام شود. ﻫﻤﭽﻨﻴﻦ ﻣﺮﺍﻗﺒﺖ ﺍﺯ ﺑﻴﻤﺎﺭﺍﻥ ﺳﺎﻟﻤﻨﺪ ﺑﻪ ﻛﺎﺩﺭﻱ ﺁﻣﻮﺯﺵ ﺩﻳﺪﻩ، ﻣﺠﺮﺏ، ﻣﺸﺘﺎﻕ ﻭ ﻋﻼﻗﻤﻨﺪ واگذار ﺷﻮﺩ.
