زمینه و هدف: پرستاران به عنوان بزرگترین گروه انسانی سازمان‌های مراقبت بهداشتی و درمانی همواره با چالش حفظ، ارتقاء و ارائه مراقبت با کیفیت، مؤثر و مطمئن روبرو هستند. در میان عوامل مؤثر بر عملکرد پرستاری، انتظار می‌رود خودکارآمدی بیشترین تأثیر را داشته باشد. با این وجود درک خودکارآمدی مراقبتی پرستاران بخش‌های کودکان مورد توجه قرار نگرفته و تحقیقی در این زمینه در ایران انجام نشده است. بنابراین مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین درک خودکارآمدی مراقبتی پرستاران بخش‌های کودکان انجام گردید.
روش بررسی: در این مطالعه توصیفی تحلیلی که در سال 1394 انجام شد، 348 پرستار شاغل در بیمارستان‌های دولتی شهر اصفهان، شهرکرد، شیراز، باغملک و ایذه به صورت در دسترس (آسان) شرکت کردند. ابزار جمع آوری داده‌ها پرسشنامه درک خودکارآمدی مراقبتی پرستاران کودکان بود که در طی یک فرآیند ابزار سازی تدوین گردید. اعتبار همزمان این ابزار با پرسشنامه خودکارآمدی عمومی Sherer (72/0r=)، ضریب آلفای کرونباخ ابزار 96/0 و ثبات پرسشنامه از طریق آزمون مجدد 97/0 بدست آمد. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها ازطریق آمار توصیفی و تحلیلی با استفاده از SPSS نسخه 18 انجام گردید.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که درک خودکارآمدی مراقبتی پرستاران کودکان شرکت کننده در این مطالعه خوب بود. بر اساس نتایج بین میانگین درک خودکارآمدی مراقبتی و جنسیت، علاقه پرستاران به کار در بخش کودکان و همچنین رضایت کاری پرستاران از بخش کودکان، ارتباط مثبت و معنی‌داری وجود داشت (05/0(P< .
نتیجه‌گیری کلی: این بررسی می‌تواند سرفصل‌های مورد نیاز برای ارتقای درک خودکارآمدی مراقبتی پرستاران کودکان را مشخص کند و به عنوان راهنما جهت طراحی دوره آموزشی پرستاران بخش‌های کودکان باشد.
